Eidolon (ī-dō'lən)

Your brain is a satellite dish. It does not contain the consciousness; its function is to catch the waves of consciousness and channel them into the body. Each body is designed to channel only one soul. A soul may be channeled through more than one body, as well, although never more than once in a world. There are many worlds, of course.

But sometimes, things go wrong. Bodies don't function as designed, souls shatter, and bad things start to happen. When souls are improperly channeled, issues ranging from colorblindness to schizophrenia may result. When a soul is shattered, or when it does not fully form at all, it is left to wither.

However, not all of these outcast odds and ends are willing to lay down and die. One unformed soul bands together with two fragmented ones, and together they are the Eidols. Extracting people from many different worlds into a massive place known as Eidolon, it is clear they are seeking something. But what...?

Eidolon is a multifandom Livejournal RPG. No knowledge of any particular canon is necessary, and all fandoms are allowed. AU versions of characters are allowed as well; there are millions of worlds out there, and souls may be channeled differently through different bodies, after all. Eidolon is not, however, a crack RP; there is a story that will progress as time goes on.

All fandoms are allowed provided there is proof for their existance and they are given some sort of canon personality. Real people, whether celebreties or historical figures, are not allowed to be played in Eidolon, nor are original characters. There are more than enough fictional characters to choose from!

Eidolon is primarily based on third person logs; however, each character will also have a computer with a journalling function, so they may comment first-person to each other as well. Hopefully there will be something for everyone. Have fun!
